Rampaging totally rules!
This has quite possibly been the best week of my life.
I received some news on tuesday which has put a permanent smile on my face since then, and poker has been going absolutely spectacularily. I have been playing 10/20 and 15/30 O8 on Pacific, and have won $1000, $500, $1000, and $400. Then, today my good buddy Bryan Slick told me about this 10/20 PLO table on Party that was insane. I had $450 at Party. Minimum buyin is $400. RAMPAGE!!!!!
I got down to $230 or so, then tripled up with AQTT. So I have $680, and blind down to $350 or so, and the game gets down to heads up. I get it all in preflop with AAQ5 and it holds up vs AJJx. I was up to around $700. Bryan goads me into GAMBOOLING at the other table, saying that some of the idiots had moved, so I followed.
Buyin for $700, limp in with KK44 with the K4 of clubs. SB raises pot. 4 callers to me for $110. I jam it all in, knowing that I am 33% to hit a set by the river. Call, call call, and then a limp-caller jams for $2000! Everyone calls. There are sidepots galore and about $7000 in the pots. Flop is Tc 9s 5c. Not good. Turn is Ah. Really uh oh. River is the 6c. The other players show 7c 9c Qh Th for a smaller flush, 6h 5h 9s 8s for 2 pair, Ad Ac 3h 6s for trip aces, and my king high club flush takes it down to the tune of $2000!
4 hands later, I have 9963 double suited in clubs and diamonds on the button. There are 2 limpers and a pot sized raise. I elect to make a loose call, hoping to get the pot heads up. Unfortunately, there are 4 callers. Fortunately, the flop comes Ts 9h 2s. Pretty good flop! It is checked to the preflop raiser who pots it for $577. I know that I am not getting away from the hand if somebody made three tens, so I jammed to protect my vulnerable, but probably best hand. Everyone folded to the bettor (which relieved me), and he called. With AQJT with hearts. The turn 3h gave him many outs, but the river Ad left him with only top 2 pair. I won a $4547 pot!
At this stage, I decided to take my $4500 and bank it. I love rampaging. :)
